Licensing & support
Installing
Section titled “Installing”C4D Migrator is sold through aescripts + aeplugins, on the Cinema 4D Migration Tool product page. Install and license it with the aescripts + aeplugins manager, which also uninstalls it. To try it first, choose Add Trial from the manager’s Account menu.
Licensing
Section titled “Licensing”The first time you open C4D Migrator, the aescripts licence window appears.
- Enter your licence code to license it.
- Enter
trialto start the trial.
What the trial does
Section titled “What the trial does”The trial runs every step up to the Preview, so you can see the full plan of your own migration — every copy, merge and skip, with sizes, and every plugin that would be left behind. The Preview shows trial — preview only with a buy a licence link, and the Migrate button stays disabled until a licence is active.
Moving to another computer
Section titled “Moving to another computer”Click deactivate at the bottom right of the app on the old computer first, and confirm. That releases the licence on that machine, and the app stops working there until it is activated again. Then install and license it on the new computer as normal.
Bought it on Gumroad?
Section titled “Bought it on Gumroad?”A copy bought from Chroma on Gumroad opens Activate C4D Migrator instead. Paste the licence key from your Gumroad receipt and click Activate. deactivate works the same way.
Support
Section titled “Support”Questions or problems? Open a support ticket from the product page on aescripts.com. Two things help us answer quickly:
- The migration report —
migration-report-….htmlin the new version’s settings folder. See The report. - The log — click copy log at the bottom right of the app and paste it into your ticket. It
holds the app’s build, your operating system and language, and any error. If the clipboard
can’t be reached, the app shows where
migrator.logis so you can attach the file instead.
